I have Norton Internet Security 2007 and latest AdAware 2007. Yet while opening Metacafe, which is similar to YouTube I got a drive by attack and a window superimposed itself on Metacafe window and started a download which I aborted by putting my Vista computer into Sleep Mode and then switching it off manually. Scanning both before this drive by attack and after shows no infection. How can I avoid such drive by attacks without restricting my web browsing too much. Metacafe is a respected web site but seems to be infected. I do not know too much about drive by attacks on the net. Could somebody tell me more?
